Sendera Investment Group specializes in the acquisition and investment management of institutional quality multifamily properties. The Sendera team is made up of real estate and financial professionals with extensive expertise in the underwriting, acquisition, and operations of real estate investments. The Sendera team has closed and managed over $2.75 billion dollars in multifamily, land development and residential real estate.
Gary Davis founded Sendera in December 2001. He has over 25 years of experience in all facets of the multifamily industry and grew the company to 7,000 units during its first three years of operation. Gary currently maintains broker relationships and is responsible for sourcing new acquisitions. Gary is also involved in establishing value enhancement strategies and provides construction management oversight. Prior to Sendera, Gary held the position of Vice President / Director of Multifamily and Partner for The Archon Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. As Director of Multifamily, Gary was responsible for all aspects of asset management, dispositions and value enhancement/construction of a 46,000-unit apartment portfolio, valued in excess of $2.2 billion, located
throughout 28 states. Prior to working with the Archon and Goldman Sachs Venture, Gary’s responsibilities
included performing all aspects of multifamily asset management for the J.E. Roberts Companies. Gary was employed by Archon and J.E.R. for 11 years. He earned a BBA in Real Estate from The University of
Texas at Austin. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker.
Chris Davis has seventeen years experience in investment real estate and joined Sendera in December 2001 as a partner with his brother Gary. Chris oversees the financial analysis and underwriting of acquisitions, and is responsible for structuring the debt and equity for each investment. He manages each venture closely to ensure compliance with specific lender and partner requirements, and ensures that the overall business plan for the partnership is executed. Chris also oversees cash management, annual tax preparation, and partnership reporting. Prior to joining Sendera, Chris was member of the acquisitions team for INVESCO Realty Advisors where he was responsible for the underwriting and structuring of value-add commercial and multifamily acquisitions.
Chris also served as Associate Portfolio Manager for Archon Group, where he was responsible for management of domestic and international portfolios exceeding $500 million in value. Duties included negotiating and
structuring of joint ventures, portfolio and individual acquisition financings, and equity structures.
Chris is a graduate in finance from The University of North Texas.
Stacey Goyen joined Sendera in March 2003 and has 21 years of experience in the real estate industry.
In her role as Vice President of Asset Management at Sendera, Stacey’s responsibilities include direct oversight of property management personnel and daily property operations, setting operational and capital budgets, tracking and reporting on asset performance, and ensuring adherence to Sendera’s standard policies and procedures, all with the goal of maximizing asset values. Prior to joining Sendera, Stacey spent seven years at Archon Group in the Multifamily Asset Management and Portfolio Management groups. As an Asset Manager, she was responsible for oversight of approximately 3,000 units throughout Texas, Florida and Georgia. Duties included setting overall asset strategy, producing annual operating budgets/ business plans, effecting value enhancement programs and ancillary income initiatives, monitoring operations at the property level, determining optimum disposition timing and pricing, and seeing the asset through the sale process. As Vice President of Investment Management, Stacey was responsible for operational oversight/reporting of asset management functions for up to 40,000 units/130 assets located throughout the United States. Mrs. Goyen is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with
a BBA in Finance and Texas Christian University with a MBA in Finance.
Jack Davis joined Sendera in April 2002 as Chief Financial Officer. Jack has over 30+ years experience in real estate, including multifamily development and property management, home building and land development. As Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer he has managed the financial and operational functions involving annual sales volumes of $400 million in single family home building, multifamily, apartments and land development in Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Tennessee. He has structured, arranged financing and provided management oversight for numerous partnerships and joint ventures involving significant real estate investments. Jack is a graduate of
The University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant and past member of the AICPA’s, TSCPA’s and FEI.
Sendera participates in Homes Fit for Heroes, providing injured veterans housing at no cost.
